The (Utah) Neal Family

Justin's family in Utah is so wonderful! Whenever we go there, they are so generous with their home and their time. I feel so grateful to have this group of people in my life as well as for my kids. All the aunts, uncles, the adult cousins and of course the little cousins, are so much fun. "Family is what life is all about" was the quote of the week. I think that sums it all up! Happy Easter!

Sunny Day at Brighton

We had an awesome day snowboarding at Brighton Ski Resort! Of all the times that we have gone as a family, this had to be the best one yet! It was an absolutely gorgeous day, the powder was perfect and the resort was almost empty. It was perfect! Justin and I snowboarded while we were dating and we loved it. But when we had the kids, it got put on the back burner. Luckily, my kids seem to have gotten Justin's coordination. They seemed to catch on so fast, that it wasn't long before they were waiting for me! Oh well, don't we want them to be a better version of us anyway? I feel so blessed to be able to spend these times with my beautiful children. I hope that we continue to make these memories for years to come.

Boys Will Be Boys

Today was a busy day. Jeremy and Kaitlyn had friends spend the night. Then, Cher came over with her 3 kids. We hung out at the house and had pizza. Then Jacob had another friend come over. Yeah it was kids cycling in and out all day long. Then when CJ was getting ready to go home and we were going to relax, Jacob comes out to show me the blood running down his foot. Oh no! We went inside to wash it off and decided that we should probably go and get a few stitches. So we ended up spending the remainder of the evening in Urgent Care. He got 6 stitches in his ankle, but he will be just fine. Although, we are a little worried about our snowboarding vacation that we are leaving for tomorrow. Oh well, we will just have to see how it goes. I honesty can't beleive he made it 9 years without a broken bone or stitches. We were due.

I'm Back!!

Ok, so I realize that you must must think that I fell off the face of the planet. I am happy to announce that we are alive and well. Just a little crazy. The kids have been very busy at school. The new school is much harder and more demanding than the last one. The homework has been overwhelming, but we have adjusted. Yes, I said we. This has been just as hard for me, keeping up with 3 different classrooms, teachers, friends, and parents. It is so stressfull being the "new kid". Everybody is interested in you. They want to know where you came from, where you live, did you forclose on your house or did you buy a forclosure. Are you married, how many times......then when they find out that they can't find anything to gossip about, they lose intrest and move on. When all that settles, you are left with the people who want to be your friend. Then you are able to relax a little. This is where I am now.
The kids are doing very well in school now. We are begining to feel like this is our home now. So in the next couple of weeks, I will be posting some updates about things that have been happening since October! Then, my goal is to keep up on my blog...uh..yeah...keep up! Hey, shoot high right?

Girl Madness!!!!

We were lucky enough to get some tickets for a pre-screening of High School Musical 3. The boys wanted nothing to do with it. So I called Cher and asked if she would like to go. When she screeched into the phone "are you kidding, of course we would LOVE to go!!!" So we skipped out on soccer and all the girls headed to Downtown Disney for the event. We had a lot of fun. When the screen flashed on with a picture of Zack Efron, the entire theater of girls squealed in excitement. I thought it was a cute movie... except for the fact that high school is not even close to that way. But even still, it was cute. The gilrs in the picture are (L2R) Willow, Katelyn, Kaitlyn(yes, that is my daughter and her "model" pose) and Reese.

Our Piece of Dirt

Oh yes, this is what we all dream of....the American Dream...Our piece of this great land. Isn't it beautiful????
Well, it will be very soon. We have started the landscaping of our backyard. As you can all see.. we really don't have a lot of privacy. We kind of have a lot of neighbors. For those of you who don't live in California, you are probably thinking that we are crazy for being so close to each other. Out here, there isn't much of a choice.
Justin is doing all of the work. And by the way, this is very hard work. We have had 100 degree weather almost every day that he has been working. He gets up early, goes out in the yard and works for a couple of hours, then when it starts to get hot, he goes inside, showers and gets to work on his job. You know, the one that pays the bills. He works for the rest of the day and night, most of the time until after midnight. I do not know how he does it. But I am grateful that I didn't marry a lazy man.
As you can see in the pictures, Justin has had a few helpers. His mom and Bob came to help out last weekend. They were awesome! Briley and Gavin were here over the weekend so we told them that if they wanted to eat then they had to do some shoveling. :) Aren't they cute? Our kids have done a lot to help too. Especially Jacob. That kid is a work horse. He loves to help his Dad. But trust me, he is no wimp, he can really get the job done, and done well. Anyway, I can't wait till it all done. I will post the final pictures when it is finished.
