Christmas Card Photo Shoot

I always start out in November with only the BEST of intentions. I vow that I will actually get that GREAT picture this year...you know, the perfect outfits with the perfect hair, no missing teeth or black eyes. All with the PERFECT backdrop. Yeah right!! Like that ever happens! Eventually I give up and never even get one out. But this year...I dropped all the expectations and WAHLA!!! Here's what I got...

Thanksgiving in Jawbone

What a great IDEA, and I must give all the credit to our good friends Kevin and Wende. They invited us along on their trip to Jawbone Canyon. We rented a motor home, brought all the bikes, and a little Thanksgiving dinner. Virginia, Bob, Chad , Sonja and CJ came along too! Then Jeanne came up for a day. We had a BLAST! We can't wait to do it again...actually we are already planning an Easter trip. HeHe
I am so thankful for all ofthe people in my life...I have been blessed with an amazing husband who takes care of me and our three beautiful kids. We are surrounded by an absolutely fantastic extended family. We have always had a group of friends that are irreplaceable and are in the process of creating new relationships that are proving to be just as important to us as our long time friends. W are blessed with health, happiness and a life that gets better everyday! May we never take any of it for granted! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Petaluma Veterans Day Parade

My neighbor, Kerry and I took the kids to the Veterans Day Parade downtown. We had a great time. I felt an enormous pride for this country. The older that I get, the more I feel so fortunate to live in this free country. We may not be perfect but we are the greatest country in the world. I loved to see the sparkle in my kids' eyes as they watched the parade go by. I hope that I can pass on to them just how lucky they are to be American children.

Birthday Dinner for Dad

It's always funny to me how men and women are different. For my birthday I always want to be taken somewhere for dinner. I cook every night (ok, maybe not EVERY night) so on my birthday, I want go be served and most of all have someone else do the cleaning. Justin, on the other hand, wants to have a nice dinner at home.

So....that's what we did.

One of his favorite meals is Chicken Piccata. We did a little research to find the perfect recipe, went to the store and prepared a nice dinner for him. I say "we", because the kids were a huge help. They helped in every way from cleaning up, to setting the table to actually helping to cook the meal. They loved every minute, and got such joy out of doing it for Justin. . My favorite thing about the night was that the kids got all dressed up for their dad. So cute. I only got one picture but I guess it will have to do.

Happy Birthday Justin, thank you for loving the simple thing in life. We love you!
